Things to Do in Mirissa
Mirissa is a southern coastal destination known for its beach atmosphere and access to seasonal marine experiences. Find ideas for your visit and check the time of year and local conditions when planning activities such as whale watching.
Mirissa is a small, easy-going beach town with one big claim: some of the most reliable blue-whale watching anywhere. Boats leave the harbour at dawn between November and April, returning with sightings of blue whales, sperm whales and pods of dolphins.
Back on land there is a sheltered bay for swimming, sunset viewpoints at Coconut Tree Hill and Parrot Rock, and beach restaurants grilling the day's catch.
